§ 2-148. County emergency government coordinator.

  • (a)

    Salary, term, appointment and statutory provision.

    (1)

    Salary. The salary of the coordinator and members of his/her staff shall be determined by the county board.

    (2)

    Term. The term of the coordinator shall be determined by the county board.

    (3)

    Appointment. The coordinator shall be appointed by the county executive and approved by the county board.

    (4)

    Statutory provision. The provisions of Wis. Stats. § 166.03(8), relating to personnel, shall apply to the selection of the coordinator and staff, and further define the powers and duties of the coordinator as emergency government head.

    (b)

    Status. The coordinator is a county employee and department head, and is entitled to all of the rights, privileges and benefits of county employment.
