§ 54-42. Violation and penalty.

  • Any person who shall stop, stand or park any vehicle in violation of any official sign or marker indicating the particular prohibition, limitation or restriction on parking, erected under the authority of the sheriff's office, Fond du Lac County Highway Commissioner, or any unit of local government within Fond du Lac County which does not have or employ its own local law enforcement agency, is in violation of this article. In addition, any person who shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on private property without the consent of the owner or lessee of the property, or on private property contrary to a sign posted on the property which indicates for whom parking is permitted, limited, restricted or prohibited, is in violation of this article. Each violation shall result in a penalty to the county in the sum of $20.00 if said amount is paid within ten days after the violation occurs, in full satisfaction of the violation. Thereafter, the penalty shall be $30.00. All penalties paid under this article shall be mailed or delivered to the sheriff's office.
