§ 48-125. Public dedication and reservation.

  • (a)

    Subdivisions abutting on a navigable lake or stream shall provide public access as required by Wis. Stats. § 236.16(3). The county planning agency reserves the right to require dedication for parks, open spaces, schools or similar uses as a condition of approval of the plat.

    (b)

    The county planning agency may require that suitable sites be reserved for future public uses such as parks or open space. In locating such sites, stands of trees, wetlands and shorelines shall be preserved wherever possible. Reservation of land for public acquisition shall be for a period not to exceed three years from the date of recording of the final plat.
