§ 42-32. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Alcohol beverage is as defined by Wis. Stats. ch. 125.

    Camp or camping means the use of a tent, shelter or recreational vehicle for temporary residence.

    Camping party means any individual, family or single group occupying a campsite.

    Camping unit means any single tent, shelter or recreational vehicle used for a camp by a camping party.

    Campsite means a segment of a campground that is designated for camping use by a camping unit or camping party.

    Committee means the Fond du Lac County Parks and Development Committee of the County Board or its successor committee.

    Department means the Fond du Lac County Parks and Planning Department or successor department.

    Family means a parent or parents with their children and not more than two lineal relatives or not more than two guests.

    Group campground means a campground designated for use by organizational groups.

    Group permit means the permit required for groups of ten people or more who wish to consume alcohol beverages in a park or the permit required for any individual who wishes to rent a hall or pavilion or who wishes to use sound amplification equipment in a park.

    Park, trail or outdoor recreation area means any park, trail or outdoor recreation area owned or managed by Fond du Lac County which is under the jurisdiction of the committee or its successor committee, including the grounds, buildings thereon and waters therein.

    Single group means a camping party of not more than five persons occupying one camping unit.

    Transaction fee means a non-refundable fee for reserving campsites or buildings or purchasing boating permits.
