§ 2-201. Members.

  • The city-county buildings board shall be composed of three members to be appointed by the county board, three members to be appointed by the city council, and one additional member appointed by the other members for a three-year term. The three members appointed by the county board shall consist of the chair of the county board, the chair of the buildings and supplies committee, and the chair of the finance, taxation and personnel committee. If a member of this board ceases to hold city or county office, that member's membership on the board also terminates. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term in the manner in which the original appointment was made. Members of this board shall be elected officials of the county or city. Appointees shall serve until their successors are appointed and qualified. Successors shall be appointed and confirmed for terms of three years. Terms shall commence on May 1 in each year.
