§ 18-463. Airport zones established; article not retroactive.

(a)

Airport zones established. All zones established by this article are as shown on the map dated February 10, 1997, entitled, "Height Limitation Zoning Map, Fond du Lac County Airport, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin," which is attached to the ordinance from which this article is derived and adopted as part of this article.

(b)

Not retroactive. The regulations prescribed by this article shall not be construed to require the removal, lowering or other change or alteration of any structure not conforming to the regulations as of the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived, or otherwise interfere with the continuance of any nonconforming use, except as otherwise provided by section 18-465(b). Nothing contained in this article shall require any change in the construction, alteration or intended use of any structure, if the construction or alteration of such was begun prior to the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived, and if such is diligently prosecuted.

(c)

Removal by purchase. This section shall not interfere with the removal of nonconforming uses by purchase or the use of eminent domain.
